Welcome to the Folly Works
Hi there! glad to see you. I’ll keep this short - I am not a website designer, I am an artist - I draw, Paint, Make Videos, and Create really cool AI assisted Images. As such, this website is going to be pretty bare bones.
These are the Things I can currently Do:
Show off my Completed Artwork
Take Commissions for Custom AI-assisted Artwork. This can be unique fantasy and sci-fi pieces to Pop culture Icons like batman or superman
Print images that you send me (Or Print Pieces for you from my Completed Artwork) and ship them to you
These are the things that I want to do in the future:
Create custom miniatures and miniature bits through 3D Printing (and then selling those bits and Prints - Or possibly getting orders to create custom Models/Print stuff people send in)
Do Custom Miniature painting Commissions (For Warhammer 40k, DND Miniatures, Reaper Minis, and More)
All Prints Currently go to a maximum size of 8.5 Inches by 11 Inches
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please dont hesitate to contact me using the contact form at the bottom of this page.
Commissions and the Commissioning Process
Please Watch the video in Full, or read the full process under the video, before filling out the commissioning form Thank You!
Commissioning Process - Written Out: (If you have any questions, Please dont hesitate to message me using the contact form at the bottom of this webpage - Additionally, If you dont want to read all of this, refer to the video)
1 - I use AI technology during my process, as I find a personal enjoyment in using it to create art, and it allows me to create my art in the way I enjoy the most, Photo-bashing. Additionally using these techniques Im able to create the art I do faster and with a lower cost to you.
A. It is important to note that the AI I currently use for my projects (Midjourney) is not (Easily) capable of doing certain things such as: Highly complex compositions, Images with more than one Focal point, Images which (at base) have highly specific details, such as a unique hat, Tattoo ECT. the main bulk of my part in the process is to collect these pieces and cut them together into the same image.
B. AI is good at creating images which have one central focal point, such as character portraits or environmental work. This is all to say the more flexible your idea, the easier it is going to be to complete the commission. the more rigid the idea the harder it will become to find all of the parts necessary to complete.
If you need further examples of the kind of work that I tend to do please scroll down to my Portfolio/Completed Works - I have sections for fully custom pieces as well as Pop culture pieces I have finished.
2 - Commissioners Form/Payment Information:
To start fill out the commissioners form, once I review it to see If I can complete the commission, then I will send you a price via email. once we agree upon the final price, I will send you an invoice for the down payment - this is to ensure serious commissions only. (Payments will be sent through paypal’s invoicing system)
(Traditionally I do full custom commissions, but I am also able to do pop culture characters if that is also part of your interest)
A. Invoices which are paid for during a commission are non-refundable - The cost of an invoice can be disputed if you belive that there is a mistake in the total cost, but once an invoice is paid it is Non-refundable.
B. You may choose to opt out of the commission process at any time by not paying for a provided invoice. We will not continue to the next portion of the commission until you have paid for the invoice.
C. Any Additional Fees (if any are accrued) will be added to the current portion of the invoice - Meaning if you accrue an additional 50$ during the base imaging phase, that will be added to the Base Imaging Invoice.
D. All invoicing is done at 4 distinct stages and is always 1/4th of the agreed upon final price (assuming there are no additional fees) - Down payment, End of Base Imaging, End of Drafting, End of Final copy.
3 - The Base Imaging Phase:
Once you’ve completed the form and paid the down payment, we begin the base imaging phase. in this phase I generate a number of base image, and you choose the one that you like the best. If you do not like any of the provided images, I will generate another batch of them - I always aim to have 5 images to show, but at minimum I will provide 3 images.
A. I will generate 3 batches of these images for free (the first round of generations counts as one of these 3 free batches)
B. All batches requested after the final free batch will cost 25$ - Meaning, if you go through three additional batches after the final free one, it would cost you an additional 75$ on top of the base fee.
4 - The Drafting Phase:
Once you’ve paid for the base imaging, we move on to Drafting. During this phase I begin to search through additional generated images to gather the finer details of what you are looking for, and through a process called photo-bashing, I merge all of the requested elements on top of the base image. Once I have completed this process I will send you the drafted up image. If you like it, we move on to the finalization process, and if you want certain elements to be changed or added you can request them at this time.
A. Much like with the Base Imaging, I preform these edits in a batch - Meaning if 5 edits are requested that would be one, if 1 edit is requested I also count that as a batch.
B. You get three free batches of edits (this includes the initial round of editing)
C. All requested batches after the final free Edits Will cost 25$
5 - Final Phase/Final Draft:
Once you’ve paid for the Drafting phase, we move on to the final phase/draft. In this phase I simply edit out all of the AI’s mistakes And blend all of the elements from the drafting phase together into a single cohesive image. Once this phase is complete, I will send you the finalized version and once you’ve okayed it, I will send you the invoice. once that is payed you will get a digital copy of the final image through the email chain we have been using to discuss things back and forth. If you purchased the print add-on, I will request your shipping information and then ship the print to the provided location.
A. Any edits requested during this phase cost 50$ to complete (as with the drafting phase, these edits are completed in a batch)
6 - If at any point during the drafting phase or forward you would like to move back to the base imaging phase this will cost an additional 100$ as to reflect the additional time and effort required to start over.
7 - And that is it, the full commissioning process written out for your convenience, if you have any questions please dont hesitate to use the contact form at the bottom of this page.
